Problem:
How do I create a FTP account, and quickly set it up in my client?
Solution:
Follow these steps:
- Login to your cpNet cPanel
- Choose 'FTP Accounts'
- Enter a Login: username
- Enter the Password as needed:
- Choose the Directory you'd like them to have access to.
Note: If you leave the directory blank or enter '/', this will give root access (/public_html) of all the hosting files. Usually the path is public_html/ for the main/primary domain.
FTP clients normally require 4 entries to successfully connect and transfer files.
